Strider for XBOX ONE and PS4, out next month

The graphics of Strider look awesome, largely thanks to the inventive art direction. The environment—the wintry streets of Kazakh City—blends dystopia with Russian architecture to create a truly unique sense of environment. Strider is set in an alternative future Earth, which is ruled by Grandmaster Mejo. It’s your mission to eliminate Majo, but you wont be in a rush to do it, you’re far more likely to stop, sit back and bask in the awesomeness of Strider’s beautiful environment.

Strider Could Reignite the Side Scrolling Action Game

The side scrolling action game has looked somewhat dead over recent years. While some notable indie games may have kept the genre alive, there’s been a distinct lack of AAA side scrolling games for a long time now. Strider could change all that.Strider ticks every box for a side scrolling action game .It’s quick. The combat is intense. The action never stops. Plus, with constant upgrades and powers to find along the way, the gameplay always feels fresh.  Your hands will be sweating as you race across the roofs of buildings, down walls, over wires and through an entire dominion of terror. >

Strider on PS4 and XBOX ONE is SMOOOOOOTH

This game is freaking SMOOTH on both XBOX One and PS4. Despite the stunning graphics, the frame rate rarely seems to drop. Explosions, lighting effects and the stunning environment stream by with seamless beauty.

This is really important for Strider too. Being an action game that ends to keep you on the edge of your seat, the last thing you want is frame-rate-drops ruining the action. There are none. It’s silky smooth to a finish.

Strider’s Controls Are PERFECT

We played the game on PS4 and have to say that the controls work perfectly. They’re responsive and satisfying. Double Helix must have put a lot of testing in to get the game feeling this tight. You always feel like you’re totally in control of Hiryu. Rarely has it been more fun to slash your way through enemies.

LONGEVITY

Clicking the touchpad gives you access to the world map, which is packed to the brim with information. The map itself is large and it’s full of secret spaces to find, which will keep you playing for hours. You’ll be doubling back often to make sure you’ve unlocked everything you can unlock, and you’ll need to collect every health and upgrade you can in order to survive.
