About LA Noire
L.A Noire is an action adventure crime game created by video game developer Team Bondi and put out by video game publisher Rockstar Games. Released on PC, XBox 360 and PS3, L.A Noire has you playing as a LAPD oficer to solve various crimes. You’ll need to investigate the crime scenes, hunting for clues, and follow leads as you try to solve the crime.
As you would expect, L.A Noire borrows heavily from the film genre of the same name, movies which were highly popular in the 40s and 50s and had a unique visual style. To honor this style, L.A Noire uses a limited colour palette and includes the option to play the game in black and white.
One of the msot unique elements of the game is a Depth Analysis which uses MotionScan technology to record actorswith 32 camera in order to perfectly capture their facial expressions. This is highly important to the game’s interrogation mechanic as you’ll need to use the character’s facial expressions to determine whether or not they are lying.
True to the Noire theme, the game is set in the 40s (1947 to be precise), a time of fame and wealth but rife with crime. It truly evokes the same feelings as watching a classic Noire movie.
L.A Noire is definitely an original game, but we’ve comprised a list of games like L.A Noire that we think you’ll enjoy. Find out list below.
