Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Best Trailer of Gamescom

I thought it would be hard choosing the best trailer from Gamescom, but then this Tekken Tag Tournament 2 trailer came around and saved me a job.
This is, without a shadow of a doubt, the single greatest trailer to have come out of Gamescom.

So, what makes this Tekken Tag Tournament 2 trailer so damn good?

A lot, actually.

Essentially it’s entirely about visuals. The lighting in this trailer is powerfully dynamic. It simply has so much contrast, from the dark passenger seat of the taxi to the blisteringly bright lights inside the stadium (which probably will even beat the pyrotechnics Summerslam will have going down this weekend).

Then there’s the characters. I don’t think I have ever seen Nina Williams looking better than she does here. And I don’t just mean she’s pretty. Her body has such a realistic weight to it that you can actually imagine what it would feel like to get smacked by her . . . which probably would be a good thing  🙂

Then there’s the choice of the characters. Of course, it would be impossible to include all the characters in this trailer because there are so many, but thankfully Namco have created a great character balance by including the most powerful character archetypes.

There is so much to love about this trailer. I could go on about it forever, but heck let’s just watch it again instead. . .
