Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is the follow-up to the best Transformers game ever. Bringing to the plate a horde of upgrades to both offline and online play, Tranformers: Fall of Cybertron aims to equal the success of the original game while offering something new on top.
Tranformers: Fall of Cybertron Story
The situation on Cybertron has only grown worse despite the heroism of the Autobots. There’s no hope for sustainable future on Cybetron.
Fall of Cybertron continues the original’s story. It’s a dark and morbid take on the Transformers universe, but one that also spares time for more light-hearted moments too.
It’s clear that game developer High Moon Studios have given the Transformers story the respect it rightfully deserves and that the game has been written by a great script writer. There’s a gripping story here which will have you fully involved in the Transformer’s universe and loving every minutes.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Gamplay
What’s great about the gameplay of Fall of Cybertron is that it follows the traditional mechanics of third person shooters while adding a fresh feel. There’s a generous offering of abilities and scenarios and kits for each character in the game
Transformer’s Fall of Cybetron’s campaign makes a conscious effort to advance the previous game. There’s no online coop and you can’t choose the side you start on. You’re compensated for these losses with a highly focussed campaign with clever scripting that puts the excellent story at the forefront of everything. Each chapter is given an excellent cutscene. The quality of both the presentation and the story of the scenes is certain to keep you hooked. There’s a real congruence between the video game level designer, game design artist and game director that serves to create a brilliantly realised and well balanced game.
One of the complaints levied against the previous games repetitive visuals and scenarios. In response, game developer High Moon Studios have gives Transformer’s: Fall of Cybertron a great sense of variety, with each Transformer having a unique playstyle. Gameplay now encompasses stealth, zipline traversal, and use of he awesome power of the Metroplex. This variety keeps you excited about what lies ahead. There are also hidden items to collect in the form of audio logs and blueprints for weapons.
You’ll still face frustrating moments of cheap deaths and glitches in Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, but thanks to the creativity and sheer effort High Moon Studios have put into the game, you’ll love it nonetheless.
Transformer’s Fall of Cybertron Multiplayer
The standard features are included in the multiplayer, with competitive match and c-operative horde mode “Escalation.” This, however, is just the surface layer of a surprisingly satisfying online experience. High Moon Studios have added upgrades like a customisation suite, a character creation function and weapons and abilities that can be unlocked as you earn points. There’s enough here to keep you playing for a long long time.
Overall: It’s clear the amount of work High Moon Studios have put into the game to get it just right. While it may not be perfect, you will have a blast with this game, and there’s enough depth to it to give a healthy length of life too. If you love Tranformers or third person shooters, you need to get this game.
Overall : 4 /5
